Day 1 - 30052015 - Darwin to Tumbling Waters - 75 km

Kicked of at about 8:20.  A late start as I got talking to Lizzie.   Headed down the Stuart Hwy and met Joe at a rest stop near Palmerston.

Heavy going into a slight wind and not coping with the humidity as well as I would have liked.










Stopped and got some sandwiches from a servo near the Berry Springs turn off and then took them to the Territory Wildlife Park where we had them while on the tour bus.  We them jumped on our bikes and went to all the exhibits.  Fantastic.

We went back to Berry Springs and went for a swim to cool off...mind you, you are hot and sweaty as soon as you jump on the bike again.

We were going to camp at Berry Springs, but the Rangers didn't want us to so we did an extra 8 or 9 km to get to the Litchfield Pub.  We couldn't find it so ended up at the Tumbling Waters caravan park.  Pretty good.  Watched them feeding the crocs, had a beer or 2 with a meal at their restaurant.




Had these tiny little frogs jumping around too.  Biscuit sized.

Mosquitoes are manic so I think I will head to bed.
