Unfortunately it also meant we hit our first lot of dirt road. Very tough going and my bum is not used to corrugations.
Ran into these Germans from Frankfurt who brought their recumbent bikes from Germany and have been riding from Melbourne to Darwin.
Joe wanted to go to a party, but being older and wiser, I convinced him to stay on track.
We eventually got to Litchfield Safari Park very tired and sore.
We set up the tents, dropped our bags and headed off for Wangi Falls that were about 5 km away for a swim.
Great place.
Had dinner while we were being attacked by plagues of mosquitoes, so went to bed early.
Are you sure Joe didn't go to the party...you posted a picture of him sleeping it off yesterday!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed a quick dip in one of Lichfield Park's pools...
Wtf? Why would Germans give the nice beers, smooth roads and fast cars for bike ridding through dirt roads? Mad! And how did he pick up that blonde anyway? I cannot comprehend!
ReplyDelete(Enjoy reading your blog however)
