Day 15 - 13062015 - El Questro to Bindoola Falls - 66km

Had breakfast at the El Questro cafe as we were trying to conserve our muesli.  Tried to get going early, but everyone wanted to talk with us.

It would be good to stay for a week or so, there was so much to do.

Tough ride on the dirt out of El Questro.  River crossings always slow you down.  2 of my many water bottles fell off at different times because of the corrugations.

Started on our first bit of the dirt on the Gibb River Road, and it was tough.  Constant corrugations and gibber rocks so you cannot get any speed or momentum going.  Another river crossing at the Pentacost River and we filled up our water bottles there.  Some tough hills, especially when they are dirt.  A few really steep hills they have asphalted which was great, not sure we would have been able to tide up them otherwise.

We stopped off at the Home Valley Station for a lunch of boiled eggs and a rest.

We had intended to do anger 40 km after lunch, but it was very tough going and when we went and saw Brindoola Falls after 15 km we decided to camp the night there.  The falls are only active in the wet, but there was some pools so we cooled off in them and washed our sweaty Knicks and jerseys.

Lots of these lizards darting around.

It gets dark at 5:30 here so we had an early tea of cup a soup, Asian Laksa and a Continental rice.  Laksa was great, rice was bland, but filled a hole.

Sunset was beautiful and just got better and better.

In bed by 6:00 pm.  We will try for an early start tomorrow to make up for the km we didn't do today.  We are aiming for Ellenbrae, a sheep station tomorrow, but it's about 110 km away which might be a bit much on these roads.

Most people on the road are good, slowing down so we don't cop their dust, but there's always a few arseholes. To
