Everyone seems to smoke except for us and there is a lingering smell of smoke and ash. Up early this morning and a number of the people were outside their rooms having a breakfast of a smoke and a cup of coffee.
Went to the supermarket and got eggs for breakfast and then did the washing.
Hung around waiting for things to open. Hired a Toyota Corolla and went to look at Lake Argyle and Wyndham.
We went and bought supplies for the next 7 or 8 days on the Gibb River Road. There is not much water and only one roadhouse so we will have to carry everything.
Went back to the motel to check the bikes and Joe found a broken spoke on his back wheel. Not a major drama normally, and we do carry spare spokes, but... The spoke is behind the rear cluster and you need special tools to remove it. Riding with a broken spoke while heavily laden over corrugated roads will usually buckle the wheel so we don't want to ride on it if we can.
No bike shop in Kununurra, but we think someone from a sports shop might be in tomorrow and will have the right tools.
Went to the diamond shop to get a present for Janelle, but they didn't have any big enough.
