Day 3 - 01062015 - Litchfield Safari Park to Litchfield Tourist Park - 80 km

Picked up some sandwiches from the cook and headed off through Litchfield National Park.

About 20 km in we went to look at Greenant Creek and decided to walk the extra 2.7 km to get to Tjaebeta Falls.  Walk was a bit steeper and tougher in the sun than I expected.

Almost walked into spiders in webs across the track a few times so got Joe to go in front.  Problem was he goes under them and I still get caught.

Nice spot with a good swimming pool at the top of the falls.

Pedalled on to Florence Falls which was more spectacular and we were so hot and buggered we went for a swim and had a break for lunch.  Lots of people there, great scenery.  Some crazy buggers were climbing the walls and diving in.  Lots of fish including some little ones about 4 inches long that would nibble on you in the water.

Had a good chat with a German couple who think that Australians have better balance in their lives than Germans.

Today was a very tough day.  2 monster hills, 1 averagely steep hill and numerous normal hills.  We had intended to get to Batchelor of the night, but as we were passing the Litchfield Tourist Park, about 13 km from Batchelor, we decided to have an early night.  A quick swim in the pool to cool off, shower, buffalo and a croc burger for dinner along with a few beers.  Good night.
